How Are You, Really?
Each month, we show you a short film that’s moved us beyond the day – meaningful stories that inspire us to pause, think and feel.
One of the most important aspects of being human is the fact that we have feelings – all day long. From childhood we are taught to stop being sad or to hold in our anger. But these emotions always find a way to leak out, sometimes in the form of self-criticism or depression. We need to learn to acknowledge our emotions, and to be compassionate and kind to ourselves when these feelings arise.
Watch Elrieda Pillmann’s story as she remarks on the beauty of nature that she encountered while grieving the loss of her husband, and the necessity of giving every emotion its due.
Given the anxiety that many are feeling in the world, now more than ever, we need to find ways to share and express how we feel.
“You are still here, and you can still go on.”
